CMMI for Services v1.3 Translation

CMMI Institute CEO, Kirk Botula and CMMI Product Manager, Eileen Forrester traveled to Madrid last week for the official release of CMMI para Servicios, the official Spanish translation of CMMI for Services.

Since 2009, the CMMI for Services has been extending the value of the CMMI framework beyond software and systems development into service delivery. Because 80% of the global economy is in the business of service delivery, the success of CMMI for Services is not surprising.

The vision of CMMI Institute is to make the world work better by providing models, appraisal methods, training and certification for every region, government, company, or non-profit committed to excellence.

Clearly, many organizations committed to excellence do great work in Spanish. We are very pleased to help them in their pursuit of excellence with this translation of CMMI for Services, no one more than Eileen Forrester, lead author of the CMMI for Services:

“It is very exciting to see the passion for service improvement among Spanish-speaking professionals and organizations around the world. Having the CMMI for Services translated into Spanish is the next step in making the model even more useful and relevant for these leaders in service performance. Special thanks to Ricardo Panero of Efyca for leading this translation effort and to his team for the high-quality work. Thank you also to our sponsors for this translation, Universidad de Málaga, Tecnocom, and Accenture Coritel. Thanks also to Ramiro Caballo of Caelum for organizing the launch event in Madrid.”
